The annual Major League Soccer (MLS) chaplain meeting for 2015 will take place, for the second year in a row, in Philadelphia, PA. The annual meeting features several sessions together for the chaplains as they make preparations for the upcoming 2015 season. The meetings are held in conjunction with the NSCAA Convention and Major League Soccer Draft which features thousands of people connected to soccer – from fans, to players, to coaches, as well as executives. The annual meetings are a time for league chaplains to connect, encourage, and share ideas and discuss different challenges to ministry.
This year, CrossTraining will travel three to Philadelphia to take part in the annual meetings – Chaplains Brad Kenney and Hugo Venegas as well as Counselor Cody Baker. In addition to time spent with the other league chaplains, there will be much time spent connecting with team staff and former players and coaches. The CrossTraining team flies out on Tuesday, January 13 through Thursday, January 15.
Please pray for safe travels, fruitful conversations and an encouraging time spent together. If you feel led to help support us with the finances of travel costs, please click the donation button on this page!
