CrossTraining Ministries is pleased to announce its first official church partner. Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church (CCPC) located in Denver, Colorado is part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), the same denomination where CrossTraining Founder and Executive Director, Brad Kenney is ordained. CCPC will begin offering financial support and sharing other resources beginning July 2016. In May, a couple members of the CrossTraining Board of Directors and Director Kenney met with the Missions Committee of CCPC to share about the work and vision of CrossTraining.
Director Kenney spoke about the new partnership,
As a small non-profit, CrossTraining has limited resources. We are so blessed to partner with Cherry Creek Pres. When we were sitting in the committee meeting, I was excited when we shared that one of our needs was for help with translation of some of our materials into the German language – the committee jumped right in with thoughts and ideas and were looking to connect us to someone that could help. That is the kind of help that we need. That felt really good.
As a part of the partnership, CrossTraining will seek to support short-term mission teams from CCPC with various Timothy Project requests.
I hope that Cherry Creek Pres is just the first of several church partners that will come alongside of CrossTraining and support the God-given work that we have been called to do. I am reminded of the African proverb, If you want to go quickly, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. I know that we will go further when we are partnering with churches like Cherry Creek Pres in this work.
If your church is interested in partnering with CrossTraining and our current work in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Charlotte, or if your church might be interested in learning more about our chaplaincy development in other parts of the U.S. please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
